Default I thought I would throw it out.

I have this Howards dream I just love it. Well Somthing happen to it over the semmer and caused the bulb to rot or get squishy. The growth that was growing on it was doing fine.

Well people told me to cut off the Bad brown bulb. So I did and the growth that was doing well got all black and wrinkled. I thought this plant was going in the trash bout could not bring myself to chuck it. So I just neglected it. Stopped watering it. I took it out from under the lights and was going to just wait for it to die.

Well Today I was tending to my orchids. I thought I should see how that Howards dream is doing. So I pull back the bottom drown leaf where I know new growth likes to hide in. Sure enough I found New Growth.

I was shocked and happy This plant has the best looking flowers. I know it will be awhile for this plant to fully recover. But it is on it's way to recovering. So I learned don't give up on an orchids until every last bit of it is Brown.

Happy for you. Orchids can be very resilient and forgiving.

They really are tough in spite of what we do to them. Good luck.
