My observation has been that half of orchid growers think whatever they are using is the best, and half of orchid growers think whatever other people are using must be better.

Looking for information on thos two brands, they both seem like a waste of money. You can get better fertilizer for a lot less at your local big box home store or garden center. Look for orchid fertilizer in brands such as Better Gro, Shultz, Jacks, Peters, Miracle Gro.

Absolutely true!
Its difficult to say any brand is better/best. You look at whats in it, and buy it if it looks appropriate, or skip it if you think its not right or incomplete. Anything that has a reasonable blend of N-P-K and Ca, plus micro-nutrients is going to work if you use it as you're meant to :-)
I would say, however, that you skip fertilizers that use Urea as the primary source of N, because Urea requires microbial action to break it down into available N.

I use MSU RO/Rain/Tap Water Formula for 2 weeks on third week i use Quantum-Orchid and forth week just flush with water. It works good for my orchids, it appears they like it, just listen to your orchids they will tell you.

@whimgrinder
Actually, scientific research has proven orchid roots can absorb urea directly, no prior "breakdown" needed. Urease (an enzyme in the plants) helps with internal urea metabolism. The "no urea" thing is a disproven old wives tale.

I'd like to see documentation of that! I'm not challenging your statement, I just want to see the research, please.

I stand corrected. I had not acquainted myself with new research and was falling back on what I believed to be true in the 70s - 80s.
