It should be fine. Let's face it, a straight cut should heal over fine. I'm just a bit paranoid.. I'd suggest you try and source a powder fungicide. Like I say, mine is mancozeb, it's designed to be made into solution and sprayed, and I d use it for that too. However when a wound is wet, and I am worried, I like the fact that it will soak up any liquid and turn said liquid into a fungicidal paste.

Leaf Rot help! Male

Hi Guys!

It's been 3 days since I cut down a brown rotting pseudobulb to healthy tissue.

I then singed the wound with a flame, dabbed rubbing alcohol and some cinnamon chips on the wound.

What am I to expect? How does a drying up pseudobulb look like? I'm a bit paranoid and i see some brownish ring around the opening of the wound. Could just be burnt matter though.

Any advice? I don't seem to find any videos on the net on the outcome of a cut pseudobulb which has been treated. What's the chances of a rot reoccuring?

Best Regards,

Milan360

Dunno. I wouldn't cauterise a wound for anything, because I wouldn't want to cook healthy tissue, so I can't really advise.
