Hi,
Does anyone use a light meter? I've been using a few phone apps which use the light sensor on your device but it seems quite hard work out the received lummens for a whole day...which is what I'd like to start measuring. free mobile game download
They seem more for photpgraphy so i was just wondering if anyone knows a bit more about using them in growing or have any recomendations?
Thanks

I do have a light meter. It measure light intensity in lux. Mine is a simple model and has a limit to 50k lux (if i'm not mistaken). Pretty simple to use, but won't fit your purpose if you want to register the measures. You can always do it manually. I used to verify the measures during the brightest hours (usually when they got direct sun) in my balcony and in the very early morning or very late afternoon (where no direct light gets to my orchids) - so I would have a 'range' of light during the day (kind of).
Hi,
I just use an iPad app to get general light bearings around my windows (it's not very precise), but I think it's better to observe your plants and they usually show you if they're getting enough.
