Default Buying Orchids is Too Easy

So I popped into the SOOS Valentine's Orchid Show in Toronto today, and had such a blast! I loved the displays... though I'll admit... I was there to BUY! These are the babies that followed me home:

Ascocenda Ken Kone
Princess Mikasa Mood Indigo
Phal Jia Ho Kitty Face (Rainbow)
Neofinetia Falcata

The vandas were the really exciting ones for me... and really the Blue was what I went for. But If I'd had more money... and more space, I could have left with more

I'm new to all this orchids and I still learning, I am interested on the blue vanda, does/would the plant get enough light?

And do you take it down for watering?

EVERYONE on the board will tell you that the vandas need lots of light and high humidity. I have put them in my kitchen, right in the window. It faces west, where I get the most light for the day, and I have sheer curtains up to keep them from getting burnt. As for watering... I use a misting bottle. I guess twice a day? there isn't any medium for the roots, so they need misting.

thank you, it must be the angle of the pix, at first glance it seemed it would get only a little light.

I was wondering, did ask the grower how old it was?

I konw that size depends greatly on enviroment but I have a few seedlings, only 7cm tall, and wondering how long I would have to wait to get it to your size?

Honestly? I have noooooo idea I've wanted a blue vanda so long, that I don't ask questions about age. If it was blooming and it looked healthy, I was going to buy it

Also the Princess Mikasa is I guess a smaller species. The other one I was looking at had the capacity to get HUGE. This one will stay about this size.

Oi! You know better than to get in the way of a J'can woman and her passion Charm Anyway, you'd have to fight the snowstorms if you wanted to get them out of my kitchen
