Actually, vandaceous plants are quite adaptable, and can grow and bloom in less that super-bright light, however -

> They will likely skip a year of blooming to get adjusted.

> When they bloom, they will likely have somewhat smaller and fewer blossoms. Less light=less energy

Phrog! Let me just say I was kicking myself when I got there the WHOLE time! I went to the show and forgot both my list of orchids to look out for AND my camera!

The Orange vanda is a Ken Kone, and the blue one is Princess Mikasa Mood Indigo...... Is this... Karen Ono one I need to look out for?!?

But yah... mad at myself for my lack of camera, for sure

I too LOVE purple/blue orchids. Acutally bought my Ascocenda Karen Ono at HD. I haven't been able to get it to bloom but I'm hoping...here's a picture of one (NOT MINE ) but I thought you'd enjoy it!

So..... I went in to Walmart, and they have orchids on special for Valentines Day

I came home with two more hybrid phals. I think these two are going to go in the bedroom....

Nice phals, but I still prefer the one you got at the Valentine show. That one is so pretty! I'll have to try to track down a similar one somewhere. The purple vanda is really nice too. Too bad I can't grow them in my conditions.
