Good luck.

Sorry to hear about you and your luck with the max-ten. Scratch that one off the list, then.

I would join a local orchid society and see what grows best in your region and see what you like from what the members bring in and lectures you take.

Great Thread. Sorry I've got nothing to add.
Monnierara Midnight Magic is at the top of my want list although I'm unlikely to ever find one. I'm adding Maxillaria tenuifolia, thanks.

I want one so bad! They're usually being sold on eBay, and a quick search shows that there are several available. They're just a bit pricey, so I usually default to other orchids first.
In my original post, I just noticed I made a mistake. It's actually Monnierara Millennium Magic. Sorry! I'll fix that.

One of my favorite easy growers that blooms more than once a year is Den. Microchip. I also have a couple of CTNAs (Catt alliance) that have nice big blooms on a compact plant. And also the Howeara Lava Burst. Very colorful and also easy to grow. Any of these will do ok on a bright window sill.

I don't see any Vandas on your list. With south facing widows I would think you'd be able to bloom one...if you can water every day. They are so colorful. I have a Pachara Delight.

I went ahead and ordered this catt. Excited! Thanks. I'll probably get more from your list as well.

I love how vandas look, but I guess I've been scared of them given my low humidity. In another thread, though, I got some good advice about how to cope with this so the vandas will thrive nevertheless. The Pachara Delight is a great suggestion, and I think I will pick one up. There's a video on Youtube about a huuuuuugggge Pachara Delight that had me drooling. Thank you!

Okay, after looking at the Howeara Lava Burst and finding a decently priced one on eBay, I spontaneously bought one. It's so cute!

You will like Burana Beauty. It blooms two to three times a year and is fragrant.
