My Dendrobiums are still growing. They were outside in the cold for about three weeks, but then it got almost to freezing and I brought them in. I don't want to stop watering altogether, they still look good. What is the next step, how long do they need to be exposed to cool temps. I am working to get my small Greenhouse ready but that will still be a week.
The one with the photo of a white flower in the lower right corner is not finished growing, so you have to keep it warm and growing. The others are done growing.
If they're nobile types, which I don't think they are, stop watering them, keep them above 40F and let them drop their leaves. If they're D. phal types keep them warm and water them during the winter but less than during the summer. No fertilizer until well after they start growing again in spring.
