Interesting, never had a keiki like that one! It really looked like a spike in the beginning. Hope you get another phal successfully from it.

Keep us posted.

Well that's interesting! First pic I thought, yeah a spike, good for you! Then the second pic you revealed it forming more of a leaf-like structure so I changed my vote to keiki. Now I'm wondering if the plant itself is still figuring it out! Did it have adventitious leaf bracts on the spike before? Because I think it's possible it could still be a spike with weird - but cute - little leafy bracts. But I'm keeping my bets open and not one way or the other. At least it's a situation where regardless it's positive. I've had Phals do all kinds of weird things. I'll only trouble you with one example, and quick: bought Phal with terminal spike (didn't know what that even was then). Had another spike which died after flowering but terminal is still green over a year and a half later. It gave me one flower several weeks ago and three keikis! I thought I was going to have several blooms but they turned out not to be. I look forward to seeing how yours progresses.

Interesting. Doesn't look like the basal keikis I've had, but doesn't really look like a spike either . Can't wait to see what develops .

No never, but I didn't know how to care for orchids previously. The orchids I have I bought this year, so this is the first time anything is growing for me

That keiki fooled us all. I was sure it was a spike.
