Question on dialealia snowflake Female
Default Question on dialealia snowflake

I am wondering if this hybrid is all white or has spotting in the center of the flower. I am looking into getting this orchid, but I wanted it to have spotting and not plain. Anyone have this one and how are your flowers?
When I googled it I saw different images that didn't look like the same flower, which I also realize hybrids may not always look the same. I was curious if that's the case of if most have spots or not?

All of the photos in OrchidWiz that I can see close up have a few tiny freckles in the throat. It is not a lot and they are mostly fairly deep into the throat, not on the lip. If that is what you are after, its likely safe to bet you would get that. But if you are getting a seedling rather than a mericlone, there is no guarantee. The spots seem to come from the parent Cau. bicurnatum and the other parent L. albida may have a few very deep in the throat but not as noticeable. There can be more variation with seed produced plants rather than with mericlones that are taken from a plant with spotting in the throat.
