Default Cymbidium back bulbs turning brown

Hellooo,

I had a giant cymbidium (no clue what kind) that I repotted in June and split up into two. On one of them, some old backbulbs are turning brown and getting less turgid than they once were. Is this normal or does it need something I'm not giving it?

The first pic is from when I first repotted, the latter two are from this week. The color is a little off in the first pic but the bulbs used to be a light green as well as that dark color.

I potted this with regular orchid potting mix (bark, charchoal, chunks of perlite) and probably half or more coconut husk chips. It sits in a large window facing West. It got rather hot this summer (up to 100 many times a week), and I'm thinking maybe I didnt water it enough (once a week, sprayed down with a mister every day). But it seems like the backbulbs have deflated much more recently, in the past month when the weather has been 65-75 degrees and the humidity 45-75%. Or is this just normal?

It seems just normal to me, but check the newer bulbs - do they look plump and beautiful? If they are, I wouldn't be worried.

It looks a bit dehydrated. Anyways, just remove the rotted bulbs and it will survive. Cymbidium are fighter, it will pull thru once new growth and new roots established.
