My only Vanda, and littlest orchid is spiking!
Just wanted to shared my only Vanda and the smallest orchid I have in my collection. I got it on Feb 2015 at the Pacific Orchid Expo in SF. And here it is with a very small spike. Can't wait to see the flowers!

Ooh congrats. I'm envious my wee vanda still has a long way to go before it even gets to that size.

Thanks, I was surprised too, it has grown a lot in the last few months. I got it for two reasons, lack of space (have 200 orchids now) and to venture into having a Vanda, although I know having a big one would be a differnt animal When I bought it the vendor told me it would take about 12 -18 months for me to see flowers, so this was a nice surprise!

What is the name of your little Vanda? A mini would be a welcome addition to my collection which is overgrowing its boundaries!

I don't have the label in front of me right now, and I think is label V. falcata 'pink lady'. I will check when I get home to be sure.

That's adorable!! I am going to the Louisville Orchid Show tomorrow and I'm getting a Shutennou from Kristen at New World Orchids! You are going to have some lovely pink flowers. I only have one Neo (I'm sorry, I still haven't gotten used to calling them Vandas) and I absolutely love it. It has been so forgiving and easy to care for. Yours looks like it's super happy!
