The temps are still high and the humidity very low...plus, new pine bark act as a water repellent when new. So I think this won't be an issue.

Yes, in summer it's too hot and dry (many days around 15% HR). In the winter it's too cold (min -3 ºC / 8~10 ºC high) and also dry due to temperature drop and eastern winds coming from continental Spain.
