I have the same problem
I bought a dendrobium Golden Aya two weeks ago from a local green house and it was beautiful when I brought it home, but since then it has lost 6 leaves. They turned yellow, then dropped. The fact that it was green when it dropped is a little odd, but I wouldn't worry about it. Mine is full of spikes and I can't wait for it to bloom.
Enjoy your new plant.

Yes, the leaf is still green as ever.
And as to Ray's comment, I am watering it properly and giving it nutrients. I mist because of the type of enviornment it lives in indoors; I have a humidity reader and it says the air is at 38% humidity. I have read that Orchids need a higher humidity, and since I can't provide that any other way, I mist. I just started raising orchids a month ago, give me a break.

I don't mist my Phals and humidity is from 30%-40% daily. I prefer to not risk rot in the heart of the plant - that is where the "mist" would end up.

Thanks for all the advice guys. Since I just started owning orchids just last month, I don't know how things should be done. BUT, here it is 10 days later from when I originally posted this and the leaf is still very very green.
(the plant it is from)
