Violacea Hybrid lack Fragrance?
Lightbulb Violacea Hybrid lack Fragrance?

Just got this beautiful Purple matin 4N x Violacea Indugo, nice bloom but I bought it for fragrance.

Unfortunately, I smell nothing, does anybody know why?
It's got 3/4 Violacea in it, I was expecting stronger smell than Purple Martin.

Also, I saw purple matin KS x Violacea being called Sapphire's Galah'. Does it mean this Hybrid with 4N is also Sapphir's Galah?

That's unfortunate. Maybe you could post some photos here, if there's any chance it's mislabelled, people would be able to tell pretty easily.

Fragrance is a crap shoot in hybrids, but the parentage here does strongly suggest that your plant should be fragrant. Maybe it's only fragrant for part of the day and you just aren't sniffing it at the right time. Did you just get the plant? Maybe it's still adjusting to its new home. Also, how old is the flower? It wouldn't surprise me if an old bloom's fragrance was barely detectable.

It could be a combination of the change of conditions and flower age. Wait until those buds open up, and then see if it's fragrant or not. My guess is, they will be.

My violaceas are fragrant during the day when the light hits them but not so at night. As the flower ages, the fragrance is less noticeable.
