New phal, suspicion of fungi... repot?
I got a new phal today, and complete newbie that I am, I didn't notice what I suspect is some fungi on one of the roots. I made the discovery when I was performing a closer inspection at home. It is just beginning to flower, with a number of unopened buds, so I would like it to continue. It is in what looks like a mixture of small bark pieces and moss in one of the typical small clear plastic pots. The fungi itself is what appears to be fine grey or white hairs on some of the potting medium and one of the roots. I cleared out what I could, and sprinkled some cinnamon over it, but I am worried the problem might go deeper. Although, since my vision is fairly poor, it could have been some poor little spider's web.
Should I repot now? I have it in quarantine in a different room from the rest of my collection in the meantime. I was really hoping to avoid disrupting the blooms, and its current pot appears to be the appropriate size for the plant.
