LOL I think that's a common illness among most of us... Since I normally order my chids from outside Switzerland, I always have the "nice" idea: "If I order one or two plants, then paying 30€ for shipping is too much, but if I order 10 the shipping per plant is reduced, and then it is worth!" - [2 chids plus shipment = +/- 70€ ; 10 chids plus shipment = +/- 230€] Funny way of saving money ...but happy anyway

I guess the OB is our OA but were not too successful keeping each other off the addiction. It's a beautiful addiction though isn't it?

Will power (and over-excitement about the upcoming orchid show) prevails! I did not buy any new orchids at the nursery, but I was tempted. I also have a feeling I would have been paying too much for the plants that caught my eye anyway. But I do have a question, regardless...
Are all Cattleya flowers so huge? I have nothing against big orchids... I was just shocked at the size of the blooms. They were gorgeous!
I need to find new places to put plants, I think. I live in a townhouse that faces east/west, so my living room gets indirect light. But I would love to put more flowering plants in there to brighten it up. Any suggestions?

Phrog,
I don't have any greenhouses near me and I still manage to get at least one orchid a month!!
I fell off the wagon again yesterday.
I can't wait for the shows coming up though. I plan on spending money then!
I'm going to take Ross' advice and start getting some smaller orchids, that way I can fit more in the same space.
Chris

Hay D
I decided back in sept. that I wouldn't be buying anymore orchids from the months of - oct thru april.
The only ones we can get between these times are nothing but rescues or the "sick & twisted' I call them. These are beyond bringing back - and I will no longer taking up anymore room for them. As an indoor growing we are limited, you know?
Shams, You should begin a new thread about catts. I'm sure it would be intersting and others would want to know aswell.
