my phals getting better -semi water culture works!!
Default my phals getting better -semi water culture works!!

So some time ago I posted that my phals are not so good... since I tried some fertiliser... after fertiliser they got worst ... I repotted them and washed out fertiliser the best I could... and put the rootless phal in semi water culture with plastic bag over it...

Mom told me that plants like when you talk to them... lol... I said what the heck it can't hurt right ?!!... so I did that too... talk to them every day hehe

And... finally I have some results!! The semi water culture phal has new leaf and starts to push first new root yay

another one also pushing new leaf and two others looks like they ready for some new roots as well

the only thing I am sad is that the one with wrinkly leaves had a seed pod but it was putting so much energy in the pod that I was afraid I will loose the plant all together so I took the hard decision to cut the spike and let her get better first .

Default some more pics

LOL sorry I am not the best photographer... here are some more pics

For semi water culture I discovered by killing one of phals that the best is when they hover over waterline 1/2 to 1 in and not touch it at all to avoid rot.

The plastic bag I open the sides so it is flat and put over so it has lots of ventilation... also it rest on top of open shelf with lots of holes so it helps in ventilation.

I am still not sure when I can replant it ... I guess when it will have more roots..
