Hello, everyone!
I recently got into mini orchids after browsing through types of plants I could keep in my newly made paludarium.
I just purchased mine from Andy's Orchids.
I'd like to know if anybody else has mini orchids in a paludarium as well, and how you keep it maintained.
How often do you spray your mini orchids?
Do you keep them covered (no openings)?
Do you use a fogger?
What lighting do you use?
Here are the list of orchids I have in my 10 gallon paludarium at the moment:
schoenorchis scolopendria sp. creeping
oberonia rosea
pleurothallis grobyi
pleurothallis allenii
porroglossum meridionale
bulbophyllum moniliforme
masdevallia minuta
I have standing water at the bottom with a motor that makes a small waterfall at the corner of the tank.
I have a small fogger that hopefully keeps temperatures low in my paludarium.
I used to have plastic wrap covering the top to trap humidity, but I felt like there wasn't good enough air flow for my orchids, so I removed it completely.
Lighting seems to be an 18W t5 tube used for a nano aquarium.
I spray my orchids every morning.
The only concern is with my porroglossum meridionale.
It seems to have burn spots on the leaves.
I'm not too sure if that's because I may be using a strong lighting, or if it was too hot, or if there was too much humidity and no air flow.
Do let me know what I should do to get my paludarium to thrive.
I want my orchids to be happy in this enclosure.
I just don't know how often I should be watering it, or if I should put a cover to increase the humidity.
Any advise will help
Do let me know if I need to clarify anything as well.
Thank you!

Not sure what the specs are because it's written in Japanese, but I'm guessing its 18W.
Judging from the size of the tube, I'm guessing it's a t5 bulb.
