Since my area is inland and Cali is really bone dry right now, I have to water my cyms daily and mist the leaves. Summertime is active growing time for them. But they do get shaded in the afternoon by our city trees. Our temps soar here to triple digits, so if I know our forecast is going to hit that, all the more I give the cyms good thorough watering.

I do not know your specific location, and the only thing I can suggest is, you may have to step up watering to daily for this summer, if you say your temps are hitting 90F and higher. Just go around with a mist sprayer too as often as you can. I adjust my watering depending on the seasons, more during warm conditions, and more intervals when it is colder.

Even my other orchids that are in my growcamp outdoors, I have learned now to mist them everyday and water them a bit more often, since it is warm to hot dry weather here, lots of air movement around, but we got no rain, so have to augment that aspect. So far, they are doing good with that, seeing new growth better this year.

I recommend you water more frequently. I grow Asian species indoors in inorganic media and I still water 2-3-more times a week.
