these roots in trouble???
hi there well my paph seems too have stopped growing its spike , looks like its about too bloom but no thing in weeks, we have had a lot of rain here lately and i thought the roots might be rotting so i pulled it too look at the roots and found these plump brown but not mushy, kinda firm roots .
what do i do at this point ? just let it be? let it dry? although the bark medium was not very wet just slightly damp too the touch??
any suggestions? will it bloom??

It looks like a perfectly healthy Paph to me. I would not be disturbing it at that stage of bloom. I don't grow a lot of them but some take a long time when in spike. Just damp bark sounds good to me too. They don't like to dry out but it sounds like it hasn't been with your rain.
We had a speaker at a meeting recently and he said by accident, he found Paphs bloom much better when given extra water during their spiking. Hope that helps. (provided it still has good drainage of course).

The roots look good.
Like silken said, it can take a really long time for the buds to open, even months. You should get the plant back in the potting mix and water when the bark is slightly damp, but don't wait till its totally dry.
