Default Fertilizer ID?

Hey guys, someone gave me this fertilizer saying it was "good stuff". Indeed, it really seems to encourage growth on trees, flowers, and shrubs. I even sprinkled a very few granules on my orchids a few weeks ago but hard to tell if there have been any results.

The thing is, I have no idea what this stuff is. Does anyone have a clue? I have a 5-gallon bucket of it and would like some idea of what it could be!

To be honest, it looks like common granulated lawn fertiliser mixed with a quartz gravel.

Without knowing what it is - especially the formula - I'd not even consider using it.

Ask your friend for the label information...

If you cannot get the label information, perhaps you can find out for what purpose your friend got it. If it continues to benefit the trees, shrubs, and flowers you have used it on, keep to those applications. But I totally agree with Ray in not using it on your orchids unless you find the ingredients and they are compatible with orchid needs. Rather to be safe than sorry.

Lawn fertilizer, huh? Quartz gravel? So that's why it doesn't dissolve!

Thank you for the helpful advice. Unfortunately label information is not available.

It looks like palm fertilizer. My Mother gave me a bag for my palms.
