New spike coming from old spike
Default New spike coming from old spike

Hi My orchid already bloomed but there are new spikes coming out my old spike do I cut my old spike off or do I keep them and let the new spike grow?? Hope I don't sound to confusing I'm new at orchids

its a little side branch, no need to cut the spike unless its gone brown imho.

I'd have to agree. Avoid cutting green things off of orchids...it helps prevent the introduction of potential infections. Thanks for sharing the photo!
