Miltonia care question
I was passed a mitonia that has been neglected.
I re potted it in medium/ small orchiata and sponge rock mix in a plastic pot. Growing new shoots and roots. Now that it is blooming and my greenhouse has become hotter up 90's, 60% humidity, the blooms do not open completey and some of the new growing shoots leaves turn yellow/ brown/ soggy. I can not figure out when it need water.
I took it into my home to try cooler temperature and the blooms completely dry out.
Can some one tell me what this plant wants.? I have two other small miltonias that are doing ok.

I like to use bamboo skewers to help determine when to water.

Don't allow these to dry out, but don't keep the mix soggy.
I'm guessing this is Miltoniopsis (pansy type) ?

I have one that size, very similar and I keep it in a clay pot. Easier to keep from over watering.

Someone did say that you shouldn't get oncidium leaves wet as they are very rot prone. Is that also a problem with Miltonia?

They need cool temps, high 70s at the most. They just won't do well at those 90°F temps.

Thank you all for your comments. I removed my plant from the plastic pot, found roots very wet. Cleanned, divided into 3 and repotted in small clay pots. Move them to a spot with more air movement. Hope the smaller pots will help me guess better when they need water until I learn.
Looking better already.
