Question Oncidium/Brassia questions!!

I'm new to the OB, though I've been lurking for a long time. I have been growing orchids for about 3 years and I'm still very much a beginner. I have a few orchids in the Oncidium family that I have a few questions about. Should I post those queries here, in the Beginner's forum, or in the Oncidium Alliance forum? They are very general questions, like, "does this look healthy?" and "what in God's name am I doing wrong?", etc. Mostly about all the new shoots and what they mean.

As sort of a test to see if I'm doing it right, here's a sneak peak of one of them! This is my Odontobrassia Kenneth Bivens 'Santa Barbara' which I received this year as a Christmas present. It was blooming then, sadly no more.

(Please tell me if this isn't visible, if not, does this link work?)

The picture didn't show but your link worked. Looks like a healthy plant. Not an oncidium grower, but I'm sure some else can help. Welcome to Orchid board

Either forum is appropriate - both are also very active, I think, so you should easily get replies in either.

I'm fairly new to orchids, but I do have some oncidiums in my collection. Most of them I bought while they were blooming, but a few are rescue plants that were already past the blooming stage. So far, only one of these, an Odontoglossum Wildcat, is in spike. The others are still developing pseudobulbs, but I am hopeful they will eventually spike too. As a point of reference, I got my Wildcat in September. Supposedly, the peak time for flowers in the Oncidium Alliance is around August.
Your plant looks fine to me. Don't expect any new spikes until you have a new, fully developed pseudobulb.
Welcome to the board!
