My Sharry Baby usually blooms in Spring, but last year it did it twice Spring and in winter, right on Christmas eve.
What I noticed is, it loves lots of water, lots of warmth and bright light. I can leave it in my growcamp outdoors during winter, but last winter, I decided to pull it in and bring it near our south facing window. Interestingly it sent out a bloom spike. So it seems come winter time, I should do that. Same happened to my other Oncidium orchids which I also brought indoors, some were in bloom as well late Fall to early winter, where in other years, they can only manage to bloom in mid Spring.

Currently all the Oncidiums that I have are back in my growcamp outdoors, getting all the bright light they can have, lots of cross breeze, and frequent watering, since they are almost always very thirsty.

Interesting. I may try watering with the leftover water I made my hard boiled eggs in.

You really haven't provided enough factual information for us to help in a meaningful way, but let me state that nothing you do is going to "cause" the plant to bloom. What you have to do is give the plant ALL of what it needs - the right amount of food, water, light, and temperature - and then, when it is ready, it will bloom.

Nutrition is not the answer, unless the plant has 1) never been fed in years, or 2) is getting overfed, especially with nitrogen.
