Hi guys!

A few weeks ago I bought a new Cattleya. I don't know which one yet since it isn't in bloom (tag lost, got it for 6 bucks), but it's a smallish unifoliate one.

Now, well, it does of course get a lot of sun (west-facing window), and over the span of a few days the pseudobulbs as well as a new growth have turned purple-reddish. It doesn't look like they're dying or anything, but I've never experienced something like this and just can't find any information.

The leaves seem perfectly fine, are firm and have a healthy, green colour. The catt doesn't seem to be otherwise affected by this, but it's worrying me! Could this be kind of a sunburn or worse? It's been like this for a week now and hasn't changed except for the tiny new spike which basically turned reddish-purple over the weekend. Will it die now?

Thanks for answers in advance! I hope my catt is okay.
