I bought this oncidum as it was on sale but later I noticed these black spots..although I am aware that onc are prone to leaf spotting, these ones look suspicious.. Any idea?

Oncidiums have thin leaves that are very susceptible to leaf spotting fungus. You can reduce it by giving the orchid good air movement. Keep them in a place where the leaves will dry quickly. Water them in the morning, not in the evening. You can spray with a fungicide to kill the fungus spores. Leaf spotting fungus is unsightly but won't kill an orchid. Giving the orchid more calcium will also help by producing stronger leaves. You can use a fertilizer that contains calcium or a calcium supplement.
