New growth on air root of phalaenopsis?

Hi, I have a phal thats doing well and flowering but one of the air roots that had somewhat broken off when I rescued it from trash has just started developing a new growth that doesn't exactly look like a root. I am wondering what it is and if others have seen it

It's a new root tip. Because the growing tip was snapped off, it is putting out another new root tip.
