My new orchid - Minmaru
Default My new orchid - Minmaru

Hi all,

I'm new in orchid world and have been learned a lot from this board. Thanks to all.

I'd like to hear your opinion on this. I just got this minmaru from Kristen NWO. She did tell me that there's leaves damage. I'm wordering what caused the damage. Any comments?

BTW, to my surprise, it has a spike!

Thanks.

Aside from the split tip of the leaf, I see no damage that will be detrimental to this healthy looking plant. Splits like this happen from time to time for different physical reasons and only the grower would know exactly why this leaf split.

How about the brown edge on the leaf under the split one?

Thanks.

Welcome to the OB.
The way these little guys grow sometimes leaves the leaf tip wet while resting on the damp moss. It shouldn't be a problem, just watch it when you water. Your plant looks really nice and healthy, congrats on the spike.
