I always worry about a late frost because of the fruit trees. I have all the plants back outside and the others are all uncovered now. The forecast looks pretty good. I might have to drag the Theobromas, Piper and Vanilla in a few more times but that isn't too terrible.

I did have problems with some of my Gongora and Stanhopea from being put out early, although it wasn't temperature related. I put them in their normal spots under the canopy in my backyard, but due to spring springing a bit late the trees leafed out late and the plants caught a bit of sunburn.

I have about half my plants outside. I am seeing good growth like new growths starting, but honestly my ones inside might be doing better than the ones outside. I am seeing much more root growth on my plants that have stayed inside actually. Our lows have been no lower than 50 for the last month or so and no rain, very low humidity. I don't think my vandas like that I am trying to increase the humidity inside their grow space by spritzing them during the heat. I have my plants in full sun but they are under an umbrella that lets in light to the plants. They also get good evening sun, I hope it's enough.

Mine are likely to stay inside, except for day trips, until early July, about the time the monsoon is due. Until then, our temps are high, but humidity is non-existent. If I wait a bit, the temps may still be high, but the humidity and moisture (please, let it be a good monsoon!) should help them deal with the heat. They'll be okay outside then until at least November.
Currently, outdoors is 89 with 8% humidity. In the greenhouse it is 98 degrees with 39% humidity.

Wow, 89, try 59 today. With that said mine are back in for a few nights but everyone is still doing pretty well except of course for Huntleya palida which has some kind of disease going one, I thought Brown Rot but Ray suggested Erwinia. Everyone else is still growing well & I've discovered my Aganisia cyanea actually has two spikes growing since i put it outside.
Good luck everyone with all of yours!

Hey Raqsharqi I can sympasize with you, living practically next door. Mine are all out, but I mist them every day and water at least twice or three times a week. They are under a covered patio and shadecloth. They seem to like it, some have spikes.
We are supposed to have a decent monsoon this year. I hope so, everybody is so parched.

I'm going try to get mine out this year. Hopefully everything except the phals. I have a nice little shady spot that gets bright sun all day and only direct sun from sunrise to about 930. We had a beautiful maple tree but a winter storm got the better of it this year and it unfortunately had to go We have a frost advisory for tonight but after memorial day the temperature looks more stable so I'll give them a go outside next week.

So finally I put most of my orchids outside last week. We've had a very wet and cold June so far.
The Brassia on the right is growing a spike :-)
