I wonder if the genetics contain something that blooms from the bottom?

I don't know, this is a plant made of the keikis from Spring dream 'Apolon'. Which the second year I had it gave me lots and I mean lots of keikis. The mature canes just finish flowering. The new canes on the older plant seem to be getting ready to bud again (along with keikis). The budding is happening with 3 of my den nobiles, that just finish flowering.
I wonder if having had a cooler temps last month (night temps in the 40's and low 50, day temps in the 60's for May) has caused them to bud again, and one is even budding on a old cane and the others just finish flowering, are butting on the nodes that did not flower the first time of the newer canes.
If that makes sense?

Nice roots.

I have a couple of these in their second year. Mine too have a touch of colour, although when they were bought they were pure white. I assume the winter temps had something to do with that.

Thanks, my was also all white when I got it, then when it flowered with me, I thought I had done something wrong, but then I check the Yamamoto website and read the description:
"Den.Spring Dream 'Apollon' (Patented)
Warm tolerant plant. Good bloomer even 2" - 3" cane. White flowers with pink tip on petals. Greenish yellow eye".

I just don't know why it loves to make keikis. The mother plant is now 12 canes, 9 which just finish flowering and 3 that are forming buds right now, plus 3 new canes that are about 2 inches. But I guess I should not complain, it is a very healthy plant and blooms every year.
