Default Royal Orchid Club, yay or nay?

Has anyone purchased from Royal Orchid Club?
I am thinking about ordering some orchids from their website and want to know what my fellow orchid enthusiasts think of this grower.
Please share your experience.

In my opinion, they are not worth it. I ordered from them before I knew better; I got 6 plants. The plants came with few to no roots, and one had a nasty mite infestation.
I got two Phal bellina seedlings. Both were tiny, barely out of flask plants. One had no roots, and died in about a month. The other one had one or two roots, and struggled along for about 9 or 10 months before dying.

I got two Blc Yellow Bird seedlings. These two have survived, and are thriving now. The roots weren't great when they arrived, but they grew new bulbs fairly quickly.

I got a NBS Vanda something pink. It had three okayish roots, and was severely dehydrated. It never grew any new roots, despite soaking it in superthrive water. It died after about 8 months of steady decline.

The last plant I got was a freebie Petch Rachasima. That was the mite infested plant. It had no roots, and the bulbs got severely wrinkled. I did not think it was going to make it. It has finally started to thrive after about two years of barely hanging on.

N A Y!!!!!!!! Bought from them once. Got a bunch of babies that should still have been in flask. All died! Lousy communication.

damn!!! good thing i asked before i ordered. They have a bunch of vandaceous orchids i have never seen before and am very interested in adding to my collection.
All the orchids, including the ones they list as flowering size are no more the $16.00 which i found very strange as i have never bought/seen a large vanda type orchid for that cheap.
I don't know if i should be hard headed and just get them and see what happens or what??

Sometimes I will take a risk like that.

If you can say, "If this doesn't work, I will be okay with having thrown about $20 away," then go for it.

You may get lucky. It is the same as gambling, basically, haha!!

If you are unlucky, you know what we're saying is more likely to be normal service from that company, and if you are lucky, maybe you can make subsequent interesting purchases from them.

I think part of the problem is all their plants are shipped from Malaysia (?) at the end of their "ordering period", and then are sent to Florida, where they sort them to ship to you, and they are not watered at all until you get them. So they have been really stressed.

I didn't realize that they come from out of the country. This helps with my decision. I rather order them from the US so they're not traveling for too long.
Thank you, you have making the decision a little easier.
I decided to order from SEAGROVEORCHIDS.COM in north Carolina.
Hoping they will arrive healthy!! keep your fingers crossed for me.

If anyones interested i got ; Rhynchorides Bangkok Sunset ( the grower said its in spike ), Aerides houlletiana and a Vanda denisoniana ( seedling)

If you can revive the orchid they sent you, that's it... You can grow anything! They actually disclose their whole process in their website and i took a plunge last year since it was so cheap. I got a vanda suksamran sunlight and it came with a bonus plant. They came very dehydrated with little to no roots and i soaked them for 24 hrs in a bucket with seaweed fertilizer and they perked up and roots started appearing after two weeks and are now thriving. The vanda flowered after 5 months. So to answer your question.. It's a gamble. If you are itching to nurse something then go ahead!
