What is it?
Question What is it?

I got this as a bonus plant when I bought some orchids last year this time. The seller said it's Aliceara Alice. But when I google Aliceara Alice online, I saw something with different leaves. This plant didn't grow at all in the past year, but neither did it die (seems not dead yet). Recently, it seemed to grow out a little p-bulb, if I remembered it's original look correctly. But I still have no idea what this plant is.
Anyone here might know? Thanks in advance.

Can only upload one photo in the previous post for some reason. Here's another picture of the whole plant.

Did you purchase from royal orchid club? I got the same bonus plant when i purchased from them last year but i believe mine is correctly named. Yours looks like a maxillaria tenuifolia..

It's an Oncidium Intergeneric hybrid of some kind. You won't know for sure what it is until it blooms.'

Due to the slender leaves and some of the sheaths next to the psuedobulbs, I would guess it may be maxillaria tenuifolia.

Count another vote for probable Maxillaria (or Maxillariella) tenuifolia. Give it a little more shade than you would for an Oncid alliance plant like Aliceara (or Gombrassiltonia) Alice, and I would check the condition of the media and the health of the roots. It looks a bit dehydrated.

thank you all for your replies! i googled maxillaria tenuifolia, and believe that is what i have. happy to know the flowers have coconut scent! so now i'm hoping it will survive. it didn't have healthy roots when it came, and didn't grow out any in the past year as well. so i'm amazed that it hasn't died yet.

hanzy08, yes, i got mine from royal orchid club. did yours grow much since last year? mine hardly changed. i guess either the plant is not good to start with, or i did something wrong.

I soaked the entire plant overnight then potted it up in pure moss and kept it moist. It grew a pseudobulb and two others after that. It grows fairly fast i would say cause i keep it moist all the time which is what oncidium intergenerics need. Im not sure about maxillaria tenuifolia though cause i dont have this plant. I received the aliceara alice.
