Help

Hi.
I bought my first moth orchid last Mothers Day. It put out the new stim recently and there were 2 small buds coming out. Overnight, the 2 buds were dead. Does anyone know why?

Boo-hoo-hoo I hate when that happens

It's called "blasting" and is sometimes caused by a sudden change in temperature. Hopefully, some other folks here will come up with other suggestions.

Hi Pricilla. It would help if we knew where you are from, and what your growing conditions are. My phals spike this time of year, and don't do well .They loose a lot of buds. It just isnt warm enough for them, I suspect. But as soon as the weather warms up, and the days get longer, they go crazy. Hope this helps.
