Default Mold on bamboo sticks
I'm wondering if anyone else has this problem. Lately I've been sticking bamboo skewers into my pots to check for moisture, and leaving them in. All of the mixes are a bark based mix. I noticed tonight that the part of the skewer that was in the mix has some sort of white fuzzy mold on it. Is this normal? It's all brand new potting media. Does the bamboo skewer retain more water than the potting media around it?
