Hard cane rescue.
Default Hard cane rescue.

These were bought a month or so back. I had rescued a previous load last year, and all but one took. I couldn't take them all as I just didn't have the room, so now I have more room, I went back for the rest. They were in such bad condition, I had been wondering if I had wasted the few euros I paid for them.

One, has thrown a visible spike, so I thought I'd check out on all 7. One was gone, quite dead, but the other 6 are all throwing a shoot. It will take a while for them to really pull back, but at least I am not thinking of that row of pots as 'death row.'

These are ones I rescued last year. Two are still in flower.

An awful lot of them were all the same pink colour, but when I saw them together, I resolved to repot them up into a large shallow pot as the display was marvellous.

That's them looking like a bark jacuzzi on the left. Almost all are shooting. I'm really looking forward to them blooming.

Yeah, I can arrangethem nicely, because they are so empty. This is my first year with a greenhouse, so there is lots of space, but bit by bit, chaos WILL ensue.

My OH said when I was building it, "Best make it large enough so you don't run out of space."

Buwahhhaahhhh!!!
