I am trying to promote our first orchid show, and will be a clerk at said show. So, I am trying to be as involved as I can be in the club. I was under the impression that only the office held positions in the club could be on the board, but now I need to check on that. Thanks for the heads up!

Their answer was because some of the regular vendors would complain about us taking away from their sales. I wish there was more than one society here....Jean
I can understand the vendor thing. They only get paid if people buy their plants. They have to lug all of their stuff to the show on their own dime, and if someone is undercutting them it can make the whole trip not worthwhile to them.

Thanks! I will look into that. The boards here weren't as active as I thought they'd be.

I to like trading orchids, I have seedlings I am raising. I have traded with other members on our board here for their seedlings giving me a few new orchid seedlings I don't have. Its a great way to add to your collection if you don't mind waiting for them to bloom in a few years.

Under the Classifieds on the left side of page here there is a sections for trades also. I am not sure if it cost anything or not but its a idea for you to check out.
