Sedirea japonica
I got this from Andy's back when he had that wonderful sale, and it just bloomed. I was afraid I'd miss it since we leave town this week. Nice fragrance, but so light I had to get really close to notice it. Now...will the maxillaria bloom for me before I leave too?

It's funny to hear that urs has a light fragrance. I also purchased mine from andys back in January and it bloomed for me in March. However mine had a very powerful fragrance.

Maybe it would smell more if I had it inside the house instead of in the greenhouse?

Just nice. I was expecting citrus, but don't get that. I brought it inside for the night, thinking maybe it would have more fragrance at different times of day. It only has two flowers open, and that would make a difference. How should they smell?

Mine smells very strong of lemon pine sol. It took a few days for the scent to become strong.

Pine sol? Ick. That wasn't the citrus I was hoping for.

I have another orchid that is supposed to smell like day old lasagne! I always thought a fragrant orchid was supposed to smell nice!

Now that might be nice if it smelled like fresh lasagne. However you would be hungry all the time
It sure is a cute little guy.
