Okay... since this in the beginner forum I'm gonna list my easiest plants.
1. Some NOID Phal Hybrid from the hardware store that you like the flowers on. Doesn't matter which one, you just have to fall in love with it. Learn how to choose a good phal before you do this. Check the roots. Are they green, or brown and gross looking? Check the medium Is it broken down and old, or does it look relatively new? Check the leaves. They should be clean and free of damage. The roots should be as thick as your average pencil.
2. Oncidium Twinkle. You need one. Pick a color. Pink, white, yellow. You'll find it in that color. They are cute. They are fragrant. They are easy. They do not take up much room.
3. A Paph. Choose one you like, get it cheap. See if the paph bug bites you. I have a vinicolor maudiae type paph that I got a Trader Joe's.
4. A neofinetia of some kind, or a hybrid of it. Tiny plants. Tiny flowers. Killer fragrance. Pretty easy to care for.
5. Dendrobium Micro Chip. It's cute, it's small, it's fragrant and it is a GREAT first Dendrobium because you water it year round. No rest required.
6. Cattleya Walkeriana. Several types available. I have var. semi-alba. These things, man they just grow. You give them water, you give them light and they grow. Really great first species for a beginner, IMO.
The rest of the cool plants come, after you end up with each of these and find which one reblooms best for you.
