Do phals last that long?[COLOR="Silver"]
No, I don't think I have ever had one last that long. That's pretty good I may have to have some of these. I do like long lasting blooms.

I'm a sucker for the violet, mauve, blue and red end of the colour wheel, as you can see. I find it very dissapointing when, after all that care, I only get a week or two's enjoyment from them. Some of my catts are long lasters, but I always feel robbed when one turns out to last just a fortnight

I know, one waits and waits so I think they should last a long time for us.

Tarifa eh? Hope you like wind. It's the windiest bit that I know of. If you go for a ride north along the coast, you will shortly come to Bologna, where there is a roman city ruin you can walk round.

We're going to see the whales, bil. We missed them when we were in New Zealand, so we're trying here. No car, so if it isn't walking distance, we won't be going!

It's a bit far to walk. You are missing out on quite an impressive site, which is a shame.
Hope you have a good time.

Bill, nice greehouse you've got. I wish I could have the space for one too.
Can you take a picture of the outside? It's facing on which direction? I'm asking this because, even with roof shades and windows opened, it can be really hot in summer (I'm sure you've tought about that ).
At least here, in summer, we have 38ºC or 40ºC with 15% humidity. Without some "countermeasures",it will be very difficult.

It's against the house on the east side, the long axis is NS. Difficult to take pics, but here's three from the building process from the north end. Yeah, I do worry about the heat. As this is the first summer, I'm winging it a bit.

I agree that those set-ups are very visually appealing, and the plants are, too!

East side... good choice! Have you considered putting some water spriklers on the roof to cool down the temp in summer? What's the roof windows material? Glass or acrylic? Acrylic, or any other plastic type material can store a lot of energy from the sun and release it by radiative heat, increasing the temp a lot (just like inside a car in the sun).
