Green but shriveled roots?
My smallest phal is in a clear pot, so I can see the state of its roots. They are green, but still kind of shriveled. I watered it five days ago. What does it mean?

Hmmm ... has it maybe been getting too dry in-between watering?
Can you post a pic?
How often do you water?

I just got it last week, so I haven't had much chance to do anything with it except to repot it. I watered it five days ago, and I plan to do it in another few days when they become less green. I'll try to remember to get a pic tomorrow (it's dark outside).

Bark, perlite and charcoal. I think it's the Better Gro Special Orchid mix.

Did u recently repotted? If you did, the new media cant retain water that much. Maybe try water it 2-3 days.

Orchid bark needs to be soaked overnight before use.But you'll get lots of advice here.

Well, all my Phalaenopsis's elder roots are a bit shrivelled, I think it's normal... no?

This is what I mean, is this normal? When I repotted it I made the mistake of not soaking the medium beforehand. I soaked the pot for about 15 minutes yesterday, and already all the condensation is gone in the pot- should I rewater?

When I see my media is dry, I'll give it water. I have repotted some of my phal without presoaking the bark, but it thrive with daily watering it gotta experiment what works and what not work until you have one that work
