I cope by buying them. Then, when I feel bad for purchasing, I buy another to cheer me up! You can see how this would turn into a cycle.
The only reason I have been holding out since the Jacksonville show is because my local society's next meeting is coming up *rubs hands like a fly*
It is repotting season so there should be lots of goodies on the raffle table. I'm hoping people will throw their divisions at me like panties to a rock star.

I need to remember to go to the local orchid society meetings (never have). I can help enable you...go buy them...they want to go home with you!

May God be with you!!
I've kind of out done myself in the last year and since my plants are all still indoors I can feel and see it full force (especially on watering days) So if you really want to wipe your bug out...out do your wallet and space. Worse case scenario I visit a show in a couple of weeks and I find something AWESOME, other than that I don't feel the intense need to troll eBay and such. Now I'm concerned with how I'm going to set them up outside when the time comes, whose going outside, and figuring out how to take care of the 'challenge' plants I've taken on (my first Vanda, a couple diff Huntleyas, an Aganisia, and any and all plants that aren't thriving.) That's another way to curb the 'bug': get some plants that you have to 'figure out'. One way or another you gotta turn up the heat.

When there are some orchids I crave, I cope by going through the vendor's entire website to make certain that I don't miss any other orchids that I might want (I'd hate to waste shipping). It is very therapeutic and helps with the craving. To complete the cure, however, a very important step is unpacking the box of those orchids you were craving and admiring them for a bit.
If you are absolutely against buying other orchids, you could always check out Logees website and order some non-orchids. I have also found that very helpful with the cravings.

But when we run out of space, don't we give the boot to old common orchids to make room for new and exciting ones??
Space isn't a problem for me yet! haha!!!

Knock on wood! I had extra space on my one windowsill for exactly 30 seconds before it got filled. :'( I hurts me to send them home to my parents because I know they won't get the care they need!

Get rid of any orchids? NEVER! I just seek more space, in fact I've been guilty of looking for houses to live in that would be suitable of a large orchid collection. Forget a working kitchen, if it has an area suitable for my collection it gets put on my potential list.
