for bugs, I spray with a mixture of 25% rubbing alcohol with a few drops of peppermint soap as a surfactant. You can use any kind of liquid soap, I just like the way it smells.

Just straight Listerine in the spray bottle? I don't really worry about springtails but gnats are certainly an issue though not at the moment. Have invested in a few Butterworts which makes the kid in me want their population to grow just for a minute, as long as they all go and land on my butterworts.
