Default Watering a cambria - Calcium content

Hello, my friends

I bought a cambria two weeks ago...really don't know how the flower look like because I like the surprise.

I've read that cambrias don't tolerate high calcium contents in water, which could kill them. Do you confirm?
How do you do? Distilled water?

Thank you

I hadn't ever heard that ... all of my Onc alliance have always been fine with the local tap water.

Hopefully some others will chime in (as now I am curious about that)

I water mine with tap water too. Mine aren't fussy about the quality of the water. They are fussy about how often they are watered though. I water mine twice a week.

Well, in most online articles, calcium is not mentioned. But almost all of them advises the use of distilled water, not only with cambrias, but generally with all orchids.

Maybe they are considering the use of fertilizers to compensate the lack of minerals naturally supplied to the plants by the water.

I'm still trying to find signs that help me understand if my watering "cicle" is correct. What signs should I look for an incorrect watering?

Thanks

All my orchids get Ray's Klite at a VERY low rate plus regular kelp extract. I use RO water because mine is so hard here.
