It's been in that window since I got it two years ago. I just set up an area in a south east window in my living room for some of my orchids, I might put it there and see how it goes. Maybe it needs just a little more light...

I put mine in large shallow pots. About 30cm wide, but only 7 or 8 deep. I use fine bark and chopped coir as the medium, and tie the plant to the base of the pot with soft tie wire. I water with RO water plus a very weak rate of K Lite, they get a soak twice a week, but every day they get a wash down and a small amount allowed to run to the roots. Less in winter, of course.

Update on this plant!!!! (So excited!!!) I was checking all my plants yesterday and noticed two spikes growing on it! So excited because I've had this plant for almost three years and never had it rebloom from when I got it. I did repot it in a slightly larger pot with a little more hydroton. I also moved it to a south east window in the beginning of the summer.

Those are really dark green, which suggests not enough light. Mine are loads paler, and sulk if they don't get enough light.

Great job getting this far!! I am super duper new to Dends (only have had one for couple months) but I have heard they like a fair amount of light, other than that I can only take my hat off to ya. I've been really surprised to find, btw, that my window locations don't get nearly the light I thought they would so don't be surprised if this is your case as well.

Here's what they can do if they get the light. This was a two cane rescue Den I got last summer, that to the casual observer was only fit for compost. It has about 7 spikes.

Bil, those are cool pots. Where do you get them? I've never seen those in stores around here.
