Afternoon from tomorrow,
Hope you all don’t think I just got the information and ran away, I have read the list everyday and have been trying to apply some of the information to the Orchids.
This morning was flower morning, I fertilized and cleaned around every plant I have, just got my little home made bench sat down and went to work. Things look nice.
I mixed 3 gallons of water with ¾ scoop of Peters Hi-Nitro 30-10-10, Peters Blossom Booster 9-45-16 and Neo-Tec Dithane M-45 fungicide. (Scoop came with Peter’s stuff). I put it in a small pressure sprayer got a little spade and a wooden paint stirrer to lift the flowers so I could get under them with out bleeding.
I worked my way around the yard cleaning and spraying then went outside by the street where I have 30 little rose bushes along the street clean and sprayed them, sweep up the mess and was done in about four hours including the breaks for water and getting up to fill the spray bottle. I inspired the flowers with nice jazz music to the amazement of my wife’s family.
I took my time and sprayed the top and bottom of very leaf then sprayed the stem so it could run down to the roots. Then I pour the remaining fertilizer around the roses.
The Orchids looked great, I hope the fungicide clears up the little black spots on two of the older Orchids. Two of the older Orchids didn’t look so great so I re-potted them this weekend. I put them in coconut husk with full drainage. I had packed them in dirt not knowing any better. (That’s why I joined the list)

We have been having a nice soaking rain the last two days, sure nice and save me money on watering. I think the rainwater does great for the flowers.
I guess this post has got to long so I’ll go back to lurking for a while.
