Default Just recieved my P.sogo Yukidian V3 orchids

Hi everyone I have decided to take on growing orchids.

I have never really grown anything previously and wanted to start. =)

I purchased some seeds online and while i wait for them to come, I have purchased a flask with young seedlings already growing, which has arrive today! YAY!!

Just some quick questions:

Should I break the flask and pot them individually now or should i wait a bit longer? The flask is about 14cm in height and about 9cm in diameter, where the plants leaves have grown more than half way up the flask.

And I am going to buy sphagnum moss but is that all i need?

Thanks for the help guys!

Kevin.

I've not ventured into flasks or flasking, but I'm sure that other members can help you out!

Welcome to the board and to orchid growing!

Now when you say seeds does that mean you plan to do your own flasking?

Also I might recommend you post this in the propagation section, perhaps will get more answers. Sorry I can't help you though as I've yet to deal with flasking/flasks.

Another suggestion, just do some searches here/throughout the site. There's a lot of good information in old threads about what people have done. Should be plenty to get you started before the others chime in.
