Yes, I saw some cute mini-phals at Lowes, but I thought...do I need them, is it worth bringing them home and them bringing in a problem (scale,mealybug,etc)...and thought..they can stay right there. Not running an orchid rescue!

I saw the photos you uploaded Bonita..and I agree, there is still some hope there. I would just trim off the roots that looks dead-brown and brittle, and leave those that still has some green there.

Just remember to run the fan or give it some good air circulation right after watering, and just be very patient, it may take a long while for recovery. Try not to wet the crown. Good luck on your Phal.
