Glass pot

I am awfully glad to see these are COVER pots! I was trying to imagine what it would do to you to have to break one of those up to extract a plant for repotting,

Thanks for sorting out the order the other day. When the square cone pots arrive I'll do a couple of cover pots. I have some dramatic sheets of glass that will work well.
I have a huge amount of glass here collected over the last five years. It's all just waiting to go into something. I now have some aquarium silicone to experiment with for sealing the pots.

I hear you about lots of collected glass. I have been doing this on and off since high school. Have re leaded the windows in 2 complete churches. One had a 6 foot across octagon shaped (curved up into the ceiling no less) skylight. You end up with lots of cool odds and ends. Just a few of my creations. The octagon one is completely original.

Just a couple more. I also have done some jewelry boxes. I have an eagle and a large fish panel that I will try to get pics of as well. Hubby kind of broke the fish panel though.

Wonderful

Wonderful work, great eye for color and flow. As you know it's an expensive and time consuming hobby, but your Great Grand Children will have your work to enjoy. Your art will be around forever in the family . Well done.

The pots from First Rays have arrived , so I'll do a pot later

Just finished a square pot for the Cone pots I got from First Rays. Excellent quality pots , I can even solder using the pot as a mold and it takes no damage from the heat, very cool :)
Very hard to get a good image of the pot , I'll do more in Daylight .

Mistakes

So I will not use the 1/2 inch copper foil again as it does not seal well, and the seams need to be more like box seams. Anyway it was prety quick to do and does not look too bad.

Have you thought about using u channel brass? I use it in the jewelry boxes. A bit stronger and if there is no worry of brass reacting with the plant it may solve problems.

Hi

I'll see if they have some at the local Stained Glass supply place. Thanks
Steve
